Consent Policy
This version applies to you from the day you register. If you created your account under an earlier version, it applies to you from November 2, 2026, and the earlier version applies until then. Read the earlier version (Consent Policy 1.2, May 17, 2026).
In short
- Your profile is not shared with employers of listed jobs.
- You choose each paid action, and you see its price first.
- Each consent you give is recorded with the date and time.
- You can withdraw a consent or delete your account.
1. The consents we ask for today
- At registration. You agree to the Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, the AI notice, the limits on our liability, the prices and refunds terms, and your responsibility for AI output. Each is a separate item with its own box.
- When you upload a resume. You choose whether AI may read that resume. Without it, we cannot produce match estimates or drafts from that resume.
- Before each practice interview. You see a notice that the session will be recorded and transcribed and that AI will score the transcript, with the price. The session starts only when you choose to start it.
- Before each paid action. You see the price and confirm.
Recording what you do on WiHire against your account is part of the service and is described in the Privacy Policy. It is not a separate consent.
2. Listings from job boards
There is no Express Interest step for listings that come from job boards and other outside sources. Nothing is sent to the employer. To apply, you leave WiHire and apply on the employer's or job board's own site, under that site's terms and privacy policy.
A tailored resume for one of these listings carries your own contact details, because you download it and send it yourself.
3. Planned: jobs posted directly on WiHire
We plan to let employers post jobs directly on WiHire. This is not available today. When it is, we will ask for your consent for each specific job before any of your details go to that employer, and you will be able to withdraw it. We will update this policy first.
4. The record we keep
We keep a record of each consent you give: what it was, the document version, the date and time, and your browser's user agent. For a practice interview we also record your IP address. A signed-in user cannot change or delete these records. You can ask for a copy at [email protected].
We keep these records while your account is open. We may keep a record of what you agreed to after that if we need it to resolve a dispute or meet a legal duty.
5. Zeyla
Zeyla is the name of WiHire's AI. Zeyla does not share your information with any employer. Tailored resumes, cover letters and thank you notes are made only when you ask for them. Practice interview transcripts are stored for 90 days and reports are stored in your account, as the Privacy Policy describes.
6. Withdrawing consent
- AI reading of a resume. Delete the resume, or email [email protected]. If you withdraw it, we cannot produce match estimates or drafts from that resume.
- Practice interviews. Each session needs its own consent. If you do not start a session, nothing is recorded.
- The Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. To withdraw your agreement, close your account from the Billing page or by emailing [email protected].
Withdrawal does not undo what was done before it.
7. Versions
Each version of this policy has a number and an effective date. Consent recorded under an earlier version stays valid for what it covered. For material changes we email you at least 14 days before they take effect. You can ask for any past version at [email protected].
8. AI and hiring
WiHire makes no hiring decision and gives no employer of a listed job any information about you. The employer makes every hiring decision. The Privacy Policy explains how WiHire uses AI.
WiHire is offered in the United States only. We do not sell personal data. Nothing in this policy limits your right to complain to a government agency.
